Jewification 101

Last night was the first installment of Derech Torah, a 30-week class on the ~~fundementals~~ basics of Judaism. This is new material for Pamela, but I could certainly use a refresher. There're 18 members of the class, most of which are couples about our age or a few yrs older, many of which are aiming to convert. Everyone seems nice, and while the first class met at the 92nd street Y, all subsequent classes are at students houses, so there'll be a nice opportunity to meet the people we'll be spending a lot of time with over the next 8 months. Looking fwd to it!

We're still unpacking, but we've moved in. So this blog will no longer be a repostitory for "what furniture should we get?". Rather, it'll be a record of our engagement and a resource for details about our wedding. In the near future, you can expect:

- pics and posts dealing with our moving in, living together, wedding planning, food planning, music planning, judaism-education-conversion planning and other good stuff
- wedding planning ideas, dilemma, and details
- surveys to help us figure out some of those said dilemmas
- details about places we're registered
- a real (ie, non-blogspot) URL for this site
- a move to a drupal or wordpress hosted blog
